About

Belgrade NGO Center was established in June 2006, with the objective of supporting small and medium non-governmental organisations in Serbia and enhancing cooperation between German and Serbian NPOs. Through variety of its activities, Belgrade NGO Center identifies and follows developments within Serbian civil society, accordingly providing consulting services to the civil sector organisations. The Center is actively working on capacity building of Serbian civil organisations,  advising them on funding and cooperation possibilities within the EU.

Objectives
Belgrade NGO Center aims at achieving the following objectives:
• Capacity building of Serbian NGOs from various sectors, especially in the context of European integrations;
• Sustainable development of the country’s civil sector;
• Creation of self-sustaining network of NGOs contributing to development of civil society;
• Promotion of concept of Corporate Social Responsibility;
• Promotion of social equality and human rights;
• Improving NGO involvement in standardising social status of vulnerable social, ethnic and minority groups;
• Expanding cultural activities and advancing scientific research within the civil sector;
• Enhancing engagement of German non-profit organisations;
• Boosting cooperation between German and Serbian organisations

 

Program
Activities of Belgrade NGO Center are:
• Civil sector monitoring
• NGO-related consulting (educational) services
• Organisational and logistic assistance to the civil sector

Belgrade NGO Center is supported by the Center for International Migration and Development (CIM), Frankfurt am Main and from the budget of German Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ).
