Consulting Belgrade NGO Center offers practical trainings and seminars on various topics related to management activities of non-governmental and non-profit organisations. Trainings are specifically designed for activists and employees of middle and small enterprises, with the overall aim to support capacity building and sustainable development of the civil sector in Serbia.

Trainings First in the series of trainings-seminars, organised by Belgrade NGO Center and supported by the Municipality of New Belgrade, took place on Saturday, December 8th, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the City Hall of the Municipality of New Belgrade, Bulevar Mihajla Pupina 167. This training-seminar gathered forty representatives from the civil sector in Serbia who actively took part in the panel discussions with the announced speakers. Mr Ilija Malovic and Ms Bojana Kovacevic, moderators from Belgrade NGO Center, facilitated the training-seminar. It presented a chance for NGOs throughout Serbia to meet representatives of foreign institutions and organisations and get the first-hand information on possibilities for fundraising and other kinds of cooperation, such as promotion of certain activities estimated to be of great relevance for NGOs in Serbia, active participation in implementation of the projects, etc. The guest lecturers prepared 30 to 60 minutes long presentations, after which the civil sector representatives had the opportunity to ask specific questions regarding the cooperation with various institutions. The topics mostly discussed at the training-seminar were: Relation between Local Authorities and the Civil Society in Serbia, Role of Foreign Foundations and Embassies, New Possibilities on Fundraising within EU and Corporate Philanthropy. Participants positively rated this seminar was and also expressed the need for similar and more regular activities in the future.
