Parliamentary Elections in Serbia
On Sunday, May 11th, Serbia held pre-term Parliamentary election, precipitated by the collapse of the Government in March. Voters were primarily divided between the question of Kosovo and Serbian membership in the European Union. Though convincing, the victory of the Democratic Party still has not resolved the conundrum of the Serb politics, as it is crucially important which parties will eventually form a new coalition government.

From Helsinki to Belgrade.
The First CSCE Follow-Up Meeting in Belgrade 1977/78
Zikic Foundation, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia organised the Conference on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the First CSCE Follow-up Meeting 1977/78, held in Sava Centre, Belgrade. The anniversary meeting "From Helsinki to Belgrade”, organised and coordinated by Belgrade NGO Center from 8th -10th March 2008, served as a forum for invigorated discussion on development of the CSCE/OSCE process and the overall progress achieved in the sphere of human rights.

Belgrade NGO Center has launched eObserver, a bimonthly overview of information related to the civil society in Serbia. The purpose of the eObserver is to elaborate the topics mirroring the current situation of the civil society, its role and functioning. The eObserver also offers to its readers information on events and trends in the country related to the civil society.

Belgrade NGO Center offers one-day seminars and trainings on topics related to various management activities pertaining to non-governmental and non-profit organisations. The objective of these seminars and trainings is to provide support to capacity building and sustainable development of civil sector in Serbia.

Erlenbach Scholarship
The Erlenbach Scholarship is another initiative of Zikic Foundation, Bonn and Erlenbach Foundation, Munich, implemented by Belgrade NGO Center. The initiative is directed toward providing financial assistance for high-school students, with the purpose of creating opportunities and improving conditions for their further education.
