Description
The aim of this project is to provide financial support for high-school students with a status of refugees or internally displaced persons, in order to enable them to gain necessary qualifications for their further academic education. The scholarship amounts to 100 EUR/month and is delivered in a form of financial and/or material aid.
Criteria for the selection of beneficiaries are determined on the basis of financial and social conditions of applicants and their academic performance. One of the preconditions is the knowledge of German language and continuation of studying it in a high school. Beneficiaries are also obliged to maintain excellent performance and to attend extra-curriculum German-language course organised by Belgrade NGO Center and Zikic Fund, Belgrade. During the supporting period, visits to museums, theatres, fairs and other cultural, artistic and educational manifestations are organised for the beneficiaries.
The Award ceremony took place on September 6, 2007, in the Villa of the National Bank of Serbia, while the German-language course started on 15th of September 2007.
